About

Guy Gualtieri

Guy Gualtieri is a music producer, mix engineer, songwriter, and the founder of Gual Music LLC, bringing more than 35 years of experience in the recording industry to his work with artists and musicians. He holds a Master’s degree in Music Production from Berklee College of Music, an MBA from the University of Miami, and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Florida. A voting member of The Recording Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing, Guy has built a career that bridges the creative and technical sides of music production, with a particular passion for capturing performances in ways that feel authentic, organic, and immersive.

In recent years, Guy has become especially focused on immersive audio and Dolby Atmos, culminating in the creation of Circles, an ambitious immersive audio album built around the concept of the circle of life. Recorded with a unique microphone array positioned at the center of a live drum circle, Circles treats the drum circle itself as a spatial instrument, placing the listener inside the performance rather than simply in front of it. The project has earned attention from professionals in the immersive audio community and represents Guy’s broader philosophy: technology is most powerful when it serves the emotional and creative experience of the music.

Throughout his career, Guy has collaborated with artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers at both the local and national level, including Andres Mayo, J. None, Ken Lewis, Oliviya Nicole, and Kenneith Perrin, as well as bands such as The Cravens, the Rotorheads, and the Smokeboss Militia. Through Gual Music, he continues to produce, record, and develop music while exploring new approaches to immersive sound, creative production, and the art of making a recording feel like a real experience.

“Guy was really professional and also very clear with what he wanted, it really made it really easy to work with. The project song sounded great and the communication was perfect. I would definitely work with him again and recommend him!”
